Over the past year, my sister has worked tirelessly to put her dreams to action. She's created a cute little product called "Worthy Reminders."
Worthy Reminders is a simple product aimed at generating church funds and spreading God's word. Each sheet has five individual scriptures printed on clear static cling material to help keep you focused on His will. Place these neat little clings on mirrors and other smooth surfaces to be reminded of God's love and will for your life throughout your day. With seven categories to choose from, everyone will be able to find the reminder they need. Sometimes a small reminder of God's intentions in our lives rejuvenates our sense of purpose, and many of us need that uplift daily. A pastor or caring friend isn't always nearby, but with Worthy Reminders you can leave those minor gestures of encouragement for the ones you love, and make a major impact.
She has labored over what scriptures to include, finding the best printer, learning basic business principles, and -- most importantly -- assuring the net profits of Worthy Reminders goes to Jeannette and Marty Steiner, who serve New Mission Systems International (http://nmsi.org/) at the CGO in Fort Myers. Jeannette works as the Accounts Receivable Manager and is responsible for all incoming donations. Marty’s job is to provide computing and communication services for NMSI.
The point of Worthy Reminders is to be a fundraiser for churches. She is forwarding packets of Worthy Reminders to churches and they selling them as fundraisers for $3.00. Half of that goes back to my sister and Jeannette and Marty Steiner, and the church program keeps the other $1.50 for the mission or project for which they are fundraising.
She's done a great thing: the finished product are sheets of cute cling-ons you can put anywhere, and she's put a lot of work into it. The finished product reflects that. It's as professional an item for gift baskets, birthday package toppers, etc. that you could find anywhere else. I want to help her get the word out there to any church or church school group that needs a fundraiser: she doesn't charge for Worthy Reminders you don't sell.
