Southern California Edison General Job Requirements: Possess a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Typically possesses five or more years experience defining system requirements, project scope, and performing cost benefit analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of the low-income energy efficiency programs offered through utilities and the state of California. Demonstrated knowledge of community-based organizations and agencies in the delivery of services to low-income customers. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with using software tools to create and edit complex reports, graphs, and presentations, convert information from one format to another, use advanced functions, and generate non-standard reports from business applications/databases. Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methods to manage single projects of moderate complexity, gather budget information, gain support from stakeholders, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to understand and appropriately respond to project managers and clients business needs, and interface effectively and/or collaborate with others. Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions. Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results. Must be proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, as well as the Internet and Email. Preferred Skills: Experience deploying complex databases to a large end user group. Typical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will report to the EMA Program/Project Manager, and will work closely with EMA program managers, internal departments (Information Technology, Accounts Payable, Program Support Center, and Customer Call Center) and to identify and gather system requirements for the Energy Management Assistance Partnership System (EMAPS) database. Typical responsibilities include: collaborating with external application, information, and technology architects in developing and maintaining end-to-end processes that integrate effectively with the enterprise architecture models and the SCE process framework. Analyzing, designing, and implementing process and procedural systems improvements for income qualified programs. Developing specifications to address business issues and problems related to income qualified program projects, conducting cost-benefit analysis, recommending business and computing solutions after analyzing various alternatives and developing/implementing solutions. Establishing process flows, process documentation, and procedure documentation for a centralized database. Assisting community based organizations and other EMA Program service providers with data corrections/adjustments and providing them with technical guidance. Maintaining the system documentation library, including Detail System Design documents, administration and end-user manuals. Configuring the system validation and measures on ongoing basis to meet the EMA Program requirements. Testing and confirming system changes associated with the deployment of enhancements or the correction of system defects. Conducting data analysis to identify impact to Program and developing immediate procedures to correct data. Prioritizing and monitoring the deployment of system enhancements.
