Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Their helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations. Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, our client has outlying facilities in other U.S. locations and across the globe.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Conduct Quality oversight and program management at supplier. Duties include tracking and preparing performance metrics, conducting performance reviews, and presenting data to senior management. Candidate will assure that Quality Standards are met, and product is processed per required procedures. He/She will interface with and report to various departments, as well as the supply base to obtain a quality product by utilizing relentless root cause/corrective action process to ensure problem closure. Candidate will conduct inspections of detailed parts and assembled aircraft structures, as well as train and audit contracted and supplier inspection personnel. Responsibilities also include conducting quality system and special process audits as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the Strategic Supplier Quality Database-{SSQS} and Aircraft manufacturing requirements. Auditing of special process and Quality system requirements. Five to Ten years experience inspecting products associated with Airframe assembly.{Sheet metal and Machined Parts}
To qualify, candidates must possess:
BA/BS Degree in Engineering or Quality Preferred. A&P license in power plant and airframe a plus.
