Schematic, one of the nation's leading interactive agencies, is seeking an Interface Engineer to work on a variety of high-profile Web sites and rich media applications (ABC, Dell, NBC, Nokia, Target and Microsoft are just some of our clients.) We're looking for developers who implement current best practices, get excited about innovations in the field, and who enjoy both learning from and sharing their knowledge with co-workers and the Web community.
Candidates should:
* Hand-code semantic, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS
* Hand-code DOM-based, object-oriented, unobtrusive JavaScript and have experience with XMLHttpRequest/AJAX and JavaScript libraries
* Possess a keen eye for IA, design (this is not a design position, however), and usability, and have an understanding of accessibility guidelines
* Enjoy working in a collaborative environment with PMs, software developers, and interface and UX designers
* Be detail-oriented in all facets of work, from code to communications
* Be self-sufficient, taking ownership of work assigned
Pluses for the position include: Flash/JavaScript communication; mobile development experience; XML and XSLT; experience interacting directly with clients; an understanding of the various online video delivery options available (Flash, Silverlight, Move, etc.).
